You may well have seen by now that we are running a competition to name our Landlord Hero of 2018. We have invited tenants across the UK to get in touch and let us know why their landlord or letting agent deserves recognition, in order to be in with a chance to win a £250 Amazon voucher. To clarify, the prize includes one voucher for the tenant AND one for their nominated landlord or letting agent.
Now, we know what you’re thinking. £250 to spend on Amazon.co.uk? That’s AMAZ-ing!
But in case you’re stuck for inspiration, and are feeling unsure of what you could do with such a prize, we thought we would do you all a favour and do some research for you. Here are a few awesome suggestions of what £250 could get you from Amazon (all prices correct at the time of posting this article):
With the sun making an appearance recently, we thought we may as well be optimistic and look at garden furniture. The #1 bestseller in ‘Garden Furniture Sets’ on Amazon at the moment is the Evre Home & Living Rattan Garden Furniture Set. This four-piece set including a table, sofa and two chairs would look stylish in anyone’s garden. We particular love the glass surface on the table. At £139.99 (reduced from £249.99) this seems like a bargain to us. There is also an option to pay £59 to get expert assembly, in case you can’t be bothered with the hassle of setting it up yourself.
On a similar wavelength, we had a search for barbecues. The one that caught our eye is the CosmoGrill. It is described as a deluxe gas burner, and also includes a side burner. How impressive does that sound? Currently priced at £239.99, it lies just within the budget of our first prize winner.
Are you into your audio? Perhaps treating yourself to a new pair of headphones might be the way to go. We love the stylish look of the Studio3 Beats by Dr. Dre. The red pair cost £249, or slightly cheaper are the white pair for £235. We’d find it hard to choose, but we slightly prefer the gold strips on the white pair to the silver ones on the red.
Or how about a complete restyle of appliances for your kitchen? We have found a lovely gloss white set, including a kettle, toaster and trio of canisters for tea, coffee and sugar (or whatever you see fit to store in them). They work out at just over £90 in total, leaving you with a fair amount left over, so how about a new set of crockery and cutlery? To really push the boat out, this classy Denby Monsoon Dinnerware Boxed Set is available for £105.89. We do love a bit of Denby Pottery! We also like the design of this 16 piece set of Viners Stainless Steel Cutlery Set, currently priced at £20.
With these examples to get your creativity going, we look forward to seeing the final entries that come through before the end of the day 30th April. If the items on this list aren’t quite up your street, please do let us know what your dream Amazon purchases would be for £250 or under!
