As you may remember, we’ve partnered with Gone for Good – the app that helps you donate your unwanted clutter to charity – this year, helping landlords and property owners get rid of their goods in a positive and environmentally-friendly manner.
Back in January, we started an official partnership with the team at Gone for Good, recognising that many of our landlords and their tenants could use the app to clear their properties of unwanted items (and help other people out at the same time).
As 2017 comes to an end, we thought that we’d bring you a round-up of what’s been happening for Gone for Good over the past year and what’s coming up:
Firstly, we’d like to offer our congratulations to the fantastic team behind Gone for Good in receiving a nomination in Apple’s Apps of the Year for 2017 – this is a huge achievement and an incredibly worthy one indeed.
And it seems that there are more good times yet to come for the team, as Gone for Good has revealed its plans to introduce its own fleet of vans to a pilot area of southwest London, enabling it to carry out its own collections. We wish them luck in this new venture and hope it makes donating through the app easier for some people.
Meanwhile, we’re delighted to learn that our landlords have been getting involved throughout the year by donating their unwanted items to charity. Understandably, the majority of our customers’ donations are furniture, but it’s pleasing to see that the British Heart Foundation has been able to find new homes for your old sofas and wardrobes.
On behalf of Gone for Good, we thank you for your support and hope that you continue using the app to get rid of your unwanted items in the future – remember that you could be helping a lot of people out by donating your goods to those who need them.
We will continue to keep you updated with all of Gone for Good’s future ventures and wish them another successful year in 2018.
