Whether you are a property professional, or you’ve just obtained your first investment, keeping on top of the latest changes in the sector is vital. By attending relevant shows, you can learn first hand and get the chance to get your questions answered.
With there being a few landlord and property investment events on the horizon, it is worth considering how you can use them to your advantage.
Here is what to expect from a typical show:
There will be representatives of businesses from across the industry, set up on a stand, ready to speak to you about their area of expertise. This can be from mortgage lenders, to letting agents, or, in our case, Landlord Insurance providers.
This is the perfect opportunity to ask any questions and talk to these representatives in person. Depending on the show, there may be a list of exhibitors available online. It’s always worth taking a look and making a note of any that you think could be useful.
From free advice, to free merchandise, every stand will present a different opportunity.
You will often find that special guests have been arranged to attend and talk about current issues. This can often be to discuss changes in legislation, or to provide advice on how to make the most of being a property investor. As an example, the following seminars will be taking place at the October 2018 National Landlord Investment Show in Manchester:
Property Investor Market
Sarah Woolf – Senior Development Manager for the Commercial Mortgages business with the Property Finance Division of Shawbrook Bank
Buy to Let Property Investment Fundamentals, Mistakes and Changes
Paul Mahoney – Nova Financial
How Tax and Regulatory Changes Affect Buy to Let Borrowing
Gavin Elley – Head of Sales, Mortgages for Business
Just Landlords will be exhibiting at the following events during 2018:
National Landlord Investment Show – Manchester – October 9th
National Landlord Investment Show – Cardiff – October 17th
East Midlands Expo – Nottingham – 5th November
If you are planning on attending and would like to speak to us about our products, please do stop by our stand. We would love to see you, and help in any way we can. Our sister company Landlord News will also be exhibiting with us, providing free resources and keeping you up-to-date on the latest developments in the world of property investment.
