With the Portico NLA London Landlord Seminar only a week away (21st November!), the Just Landlords team are preparing for what we expect to be yet another informative event.
We are proud to be attending again this year as a key partner, alongside our sister company Landlord News.
It was great to meet with property professionals at last year’s event, and we look forward to doing so again this year. With the timing of the seminars falling not long after this year’s Autumn Budget, no doubt there will be some discussion around the announced changes that are due to affect the private rental sector (PRS). In fact, last year the London Landlord Seminar occurred the very same day!
Guests are expected to arrive at 6.30PM, for a 7PM start, at the Institute of Directors in Pall Mall. The following topics will be covered throughout the evening:
Case Studies: The New Business of Renting
Discussion of taxation, mortgages and regulation changes in the PRS will take place between landlords, interviewed by National Landlord Associations (NLA) representative Richard Blanco.
London Hotspots and The Housing Market Review
Mark Lawrinson, Regional Director of Portico, will be providing information about this year’s rental yields in the boroughs of London and the Portico research that has identified certain areas to be “holding untapped potential”.
Panel Debate: The Future of Lettings in London
A panel of property professionals will be questioned about a number of topics on everyone’s minds, in relation to the future of the PRS, especially post Brexit. The panel will consist of:
Jennifer Wynter, Head of Benefits and Housing Needs for the London Borough of Hackney
Richard Donnell, Director of Research and Insight Hometrack
Chris Norris, Director of Policy and Practice at the NLA
Nicola Geldart, Senior Designer at David Phillips
